What’s the new size of The Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald?

Starting April 10, 2007, The Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald will convert to a new size following the lead of many daily newspapers throughout the industry (USA Today, Wall Street Journal, New York Times and others). Because the size change is negligible, you may not even notice.

Why are we re-sizing?

  • The new size is the emerging standard set by NAA (Newspaper Association of America.) Miami Herald Media Company is conforming to these new guidelines.

  • Moving to the new size standards will make it more convenient for clients who are designing ads for multiple newspapers. As more and more papers change to these new sizes, the efficiencies of ad preparation become obvious.
This change will require a slight adjustment to the width of your ads in the main body of the newspapers, as well as the tab sections. Click on the Ad Production and Mechanical specs link below for details.
